Affiliate a Registration with an Institution

Registrations automatically inherit institutional affiliations from its corresponding project. However, if the project is not affiliated with an institution, or you want to modify the inherited affiliation, you can update/add institutional affiliations to your registration via the registration's "Settings" page.

You must have read+write or admin permissions in order to affiliate a registration.

Note: You will only be able to affiliate your research if your institution has worked with the Center for Open Science to create a dedicated institutional OSF landing page.

Open the registration to which you want to add an institutional affiliation.

Then click the Settings tab in the navigation bar.

The registration's "Settings" page will appear.

In the "Project Affiliation/Branding" section, click the green Add button to the right of the institution.

The green "Add" buttons will change to red "Remove" buttons on the "Settings" page.

Your registration will be affiliated with the institution.

Navigate to your registration "Overview" page and your institutional affiliation will appear in the top left.

If your registration is public, it will appear on the respective institutional landing page.
